Rights Watch International is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving individual freedom. All contributions are tax deductible for state and federal income tax purposes.
The purposes for which Right Watch International is organized are as follows:
(A) To study public policy and educate the public regarding the responsible exercise of individual freedoms and how best to enhance and preserve those freedoms
(i) By engaging in nonpartisan research, study and analysis regarding preservation of individual liberty and all similar and related issues; and
(ii) By providing the results of such research, study, and analysis to the public:
(a) through the preparation, assembly, and distribution of such results using all forms of written communication, including but not limited to, education articles, publications, studies, and all forms of telecommunication, and
(b) through the sponsorship of an support for public discussion groups, panels, lectures and forums or other similar programs for (i) members of the American public and residents of other nations, (ii) federal, state and local government leaders and employees, (iii) educators, and (iv) other interested individuals and groups; and
(c) By organizing, operating and conducting all other related research and education activities as are permissible for an organization exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law).
(B) To accept, acquire and to solicit, by gift, devise, bequests, or therwise, donations, money and property of every kind, nature and description, from any person, firm, or Corporation, including any municipality, county or state of the United States of America, and to hold, manage, to administer, to use and to invest as may be directed by the donor or as the Board of Directors of the Corporation may determine in the absence of such direction.
(C) To participate in filing of lawsuits or in such civil or criminal legal action as is necessary to preserve individual freedoms.
(D) To engage in any lawful act or activity for which corporations may be organized under Chapter 55A of the General Statutes of North Carolina and not inconsistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue law).
